Which exam has same syllabus as UPSC exam?

While preparing for UPSC CSE, it is definitely a good idea to appear for those government exams that have the same or almost same syllabus.

The other exams that you can appear with UPSC Preparation are as follows:

State Service Examination: Any state service exam can be easily qualified by an aspirant who has covered UPSC syllabus. It would additionally require knowledge of state-specific topics only to cover the syllabus of any state PCS exam. The only difference will be general studies of the specific state for which you will apply. You will have to study the customs, history, geography, local issues for the concerned state.

RBI Grade B: A candidate who has covered the syllabus of UPSC CSE has equally good chance to crack RBI Grade B exam if he has good command over math and reasoning. The paper 1 in the phase II exam of RBI is a cake walk for aspirants of UPSC CSE.

Central Armed Police Force: The syllabus of CAPF is similar to UPSC CSE, and if you are preparing for UPSC CSE, you can easily qualify this exam without any extra effort.

SSC CGL/Bank PO:  General awareness section of both this exam is only a subset of UPSC CSE syllabus. The only other requirement to qualify this exam is lots of practice for Math and Reasoning. Several banks regularly recruit candidates for various officer level and clerical level posts. The syllabus is not entirely the same, but preparing for UPSC will surely benefit you in these exams. Exams related to banking are more focussed on mathematical and analytical skills of the candidates.

Any other exam: Many other exams such as conducted by Railways, Labour Bureau, Insurance companies etc. have also general awareness syllabus similar to UPSC CSE. The other requirement can be specific and need to be covered to qualify these exams.

Thus one thing is certain if you sincerely covered UPSC syllabus, your knowledge base will be sufficient to crack various exams conducted by the Central and State Governments barring the technical exam that require specific technical degrees.
